The Warren Tricomi Salon Business
Master stylist Edward Tricomi and business guru Roxana Pintilie together have made the Warren Tricomi Salons a one-stop beauty destination. They debuted the first WT salon in New York City, and in 2008 opened their Plaza Hotel flagship location. Today there are eight salons in the US, with many more worldwide.
Edward Tricomi began his career in the 1970s, as art director at the Jaxavier Salon and as an editorial hairstylist, where much of his work was featured in magazine spreads and covers. Having been influenced by then Vogue editor Polly Mellen, he worked alongside many iconic fashion photographers including Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Patrick Demarchelier, Helmut Newton, and Deborah Turbeville, whom he began a 40 yearlong professional relationship with. Edward soon began styling and collaborating with designers Valentino, YSL, Emanuel Ungaro, Calvin Klein, Dior, and many more.
The strong editorial background helped Edward develop his signature dry-hair precision technique and rapid-fire method of cutting. At the top of his game, he left the editorial world and decided to focus on building his namesake salon business. In 1989 he opened the first Warren Tricomi Salon on East 57th Street in New York City. This location was relocated to the Plaza Hotel in 2009, where you will find Edward not only cutting hair and leading his team, but in the design details of the salon. Edward is the creative director behind the chair, but also at the drawing table, where his visions for each salon come to life.
